Built by parents who wanted better
NestTube started with a simple frustration: there was no safe, simple way to let kids watch YouTube. YouTube Kids has an algorithm. Restricted Mode leaks content. Blocking YouTube entirely felt like giving up. So we built something better.
Our Story
Why NestTube exists
We're parents who love YouTube. Our kids love YouTube too. But we couldn't find a single app that let us control exactly which channels our kids could access. YouTube Kids uses an algorithm that regularly surfaces inappropriate content. Restricted Mode barely works. And blocking YouTube entirely meant our kids missed out on incredible educational creators.

What We Believe
Our values
- Safety FirstEvery feature is designed with child safety as the top priority. If it's not safe, it doesn't ship.
- Parent EmpowermentWe give parents tools, not algorithms. You make the decisions about what your kids watch — not a recommendation engine.
- Privacy by DesignWe don't track viewing behavior for advertising. We don't sell data. Your family's watching habits are nobody else's business.
- TransparencyNo hidden content. No algorithmic suggestions. No dark patterns. What you whitelist is what your kids see — nothing more.
The Approach
How we think about safety
Most parenting apps try to filter content after the fact — blocking bad videos, flagging inappropriate thumbnails. That's a losing game. NestTube takes the opposite approach: nothing gets in unless you explicitly allow it. It's a whitelist, not a blacklist. This is fundamentally safer because the default state is 'no access' rather than 'full access with filters'.
